JAMMU, Feb 27: The School of Business organised Sambandh – a Management Conclave entitled- ‘Digital Transformation’.
During the inaugural ceremony, Prof Pragati Kumar, Vice Chancellor, SMVDU and chief guest of the event, emphasized the necessity of continuous curriculum updates and industry collaborations to equip students with analytical and tech-driven skills.
Prof Pragati Kumar highlighted the importance of continuous updates in management programs, ensuring they incorporate advancements in Tech 4.0 and provide students with strong analytical backgrounds. He emphasised that such kind of conclaves serve as a platform through which industry experts share their insights on challenges, solutions, and the evolving corporate landscape with the budding managers.
Prof Ashutosh Vashistha, Dean, Faculty of Management highlighted that in order to better serve and improve ability to compete, organisations in all the fields including education, commerce, banking and social aspects are doing digital transformation. He emphasised that with digital transformation organisations can reach unparalleled scalability with its multiplier effects.
Prof Jyoti Sharma, Head, School of Business, laid down emphasis on the role of digital transformation in shaping future business strategies with a particular focus on the applications of automation, AI, and industry collaborations.
The distinguished dignitaries from corporate and academia including Prof Dhaval Maheta, Veer Narmad South Gujarat University; Arun Gupta, General Manager, Siemens; Sidarath Arora, Media Professional; Manjul Anand, Sr Quality Engineer from Publicis Sapient; Sanjesh Sharma, Category Manager from IBM India Private Ltd; Navneet Singh, Regional Head-Branch Banking, Vice-President, IndusInd Bank and Madhu Sudan, Sales Enablement Leader from Kyndryl India shared their perspectives and experiences with the participants regarding the various aspects associated with digital transformation.
The discussion concluded with a call for ethical AI adoption to ensure widespread benefits. Dr Syeda Shazia Bukhari, Organising Secretary, presented vote of thanks.
