Management Fest concludes at JU

JAMMU, Feb 6: Two-day Management Fest ‘Youtharva 2015′, organized by The Business School, University of Jammu, concluded today with scintillating closing ceremony.
The Fest witnessed a remarkable participation of twelve Management Institutions from across the J&K State and a total number of nine competitive events were held over two days of the Fest.
The overall champions’ trophy was lifted by the students of The Business School, JU, and got declared as the Grand Winners.
Prof RD Sharma, Vice Chancellor JU, was the chief guest in the valedictory function. He motivated the students for channelizing energy towards positivity.
Sanjay Puri, CEO and MD, PBI India Ltd, was the guest of honour and he focused on the importance and essence of such events in the curriculum of a professional student. He emphasized upon the 4 principles of Swami Vivekanand i.e Curiosity, passion (shradha), energy (shakti) and service (seva) and inspired the students to be ethical.
Earlier Prof Versha Mehta, Director of the Business School, said that energies of the students can be channelized to make them take up initiatives that can become the cornerstone of transforming the organizations.
Prof Neelu Rohmetra, Professor TBS and Rector Kathua Campus, JU, praised the conviction of the students and TBS to organize such an event.
Prof Alka Sharma, Chair Fest 2015, presented a formal vote of thanks.
The Festival encompassed a plethora of cultural as well as management events which was attended by around 300 students of different Institutes across Jammu and Kashmir State. The fest bestowed with unlimited fun and entertainment which consisted of various management based cultural and fun events.
