SAMBA, July 20: The residents of Mandi Thalora are without water supply for last five days but the authorities of the Jal Shakti Department have failed totally in restoring the drinking water supply in the area despite the people made many pleas to them.
The residents of Mandi Thalora are facing lot of troubles due to the non availability of drinking water supply for last five days but the concerned department is not taking initiative to restore the water supply area which has generated a lot of resentment among the people who have warned to come to streets in case the water supply was not immediately restored.
The agitated villagers said that during the hot Summer days they are craving for a drop of water but the officers at the helm of affairs are not bothered to solve the problem. People also said that many times they tried to contact the officers of the department to apprise them of the problem but they did not respond to our phone calls.
The people said that the cause of water disruption in the area is that the water supply scheme has developed a snag and the authorities are not bothered to restore the same knowing fully that people need water more in this hot and humid Summer.
They residents of the area warned if the drinking water supply has not resumed by early morning tomorrow then they will be forced to come on road and stage a strong protest demonstration against the department.
