Mandir Board Sangarsh Samiti formed

JAMMU, Feb 23: Social activists of various organizations, presided over by Prof R P Sharma, met here today at Ranbireshwar Temple and constituted a body namely ‘Mandir Board Sangarsh Samiti J&K’ with aim and objectives to struggle for merging all the temples under Dharmarth Trust with Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board or constitute an autonomous board.
They also demanded from Lt Governor J&K to pass Temples & Shrine Bill for all the temples under Dharmarth Trust. The members equivocally expressed their serious concern and anguish over deplorable condition of all the temples managed by the trust and illegal leasing of thousand of kanals of lands to non-Hindus in Kashmir and Rajouri. The Samiti demanded an impartial enquiry by CBI in this regard. The Samiti also extended its whole hearted support to Dharmarth Trust employees for the redressal of their genuine demands.
Prof R P Sharma was unanimously nominated as Convenor of the Samiti while Rajeev Charak, Pritam Sharma, Th Karnail Chand, Pushpinder Singh and Prof S S Balwal were nominated as Co-Convenors.
