JAMMU, Jan 22: Prasar Bharati Broadcasting Corporation of India, Directorate General Doordarshan today ordered posting of Naseeb Singh Manhas, a native of Jammu as Director Programmes Srinagar Doordarshan Kendra.
He will take the charge from GD Tahir, who is retiring on February 26.
Manhas is 1988 batch officer of Indian Broadcasting Programme Services (IBPS), presently posted as Head of Programmes and Head of Office Doordarshan Chandigarh.
He is recipient of several awards including Doordarshan Annual Awards for Best Telefilm, Best Documentary and Best Sport and National Award by Election Commission of India for Best Media Support 2013-14. He is writer of four books and has represented Doordarshan in several major events abroad.
