JAMMU, Apr 23: Former Rajya Sabha Member and senior BJP leader, Shamsher Singh Manhas along with JMC Councillor, Kuldeep Singh Chib here today started the construction work of tin-shed at Panchayat Keran.
The work will be constructed under the supervision of Rural Development Department at an estimated cost of Rs. 5 lakh.
Speaking on the occasion, Manhas said that with the start of this work, the long pending demand of the people has been redressed and the concerned Department looking after the construction work will complete it in a stipulated period of time.
Highlighting achievements in Keran Panchayat and its adjoining areas, the BJP leader said that several exemplary measures have been taken to improve the living standard of the people of the area for which Central Government has provided liberal funding.
He said that provision for adequate drinking water facilities, improved power, medicare and infrastructural facilities to the people besides better lanes and drains are being paid first attention.
Sukhdev Singh Jamwal, Joginder Chib, Pawan Singh Bhau, Sanju Manhas, Dushyant Singh, Satish Kumar and Rocky Jamwal were also present on the occasion.
