JAMMU, Feb 22: To provide better facilities to rural areas, Member Parliament (Rajya Sabha) Shamsher Singh Manhas today laid foundation stone of new bathroom (Shnan Ghat) at village Seri Chak Bhalwal of Panchayat Seri of Raipur-Domana Constituency. Manhas has provided funds from his MPLAD for construction of this new bathroom.
Shamsher Singh visited village Chak Bhalwal on Sunday and laid foundation stone of ladies bathroom. Few days back, Manhas visited this area and listen grievances of people. People of the area highlighted various problems being faced by them, particularly shortage of bathroom.
While addressing people of village Seri Chak Bhalwal, Manhas said BJP led Government at Centre is committed for development of Jammu and Kashmir. He assured the people that their genuine demand would be addressed earliest. He immediately released Rs 3 lakh from his MPLAD fund for construction of this bathroom and today laid foundation stone.
To provide neat and clean atmosphere, special drives have been launched under Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and assured that our Government agenda is to provide every facility to common people of Jammu and Kashmir. On this occasion RDD JE Ashok Gupta, Sarpanch Shri Kerni, Ashok Kumar Sharma (general secretary BJP Raipur-Domana), Panch Vijay Sharma, Patwari Narinder Kumar Sharma, Bishan Sharma, Dinesh Sapolia, Suraj Sapolia, Uttam, Kasturi Lal and people of area were present.
