JAMMU, July 10: BJP State president, Shamsher Singh Manhas, today got the membership drive started for Akhnoor district in the presence of hundreds of party activists and supporters in a function held at Domana.
Addressing a large gathering drawn from different parts of Akhnoor before the official launching of the drive for the district, Manhas said BJP is a party with certain set principles and a very clear ideology which makes it a party with a difference.
He claimed that the Party believed in internal democracy and do not promote dynastic rule of a particular family.
He declared that the Party will complete its membership drive in Jammu and Kashmir in two months adding “This will pave way for initiation of the second phase to elect presidents at mandal, district, State and finally national level”.
Manhas said the membership drive was the first step towards election of the National president and the State unit chief after the elections of district and mandal heads.
He appealed the party activists to reach the maximum people in the district and focus on registering new people so that the party further gets strengthened in the State.
