JAMMU, Aug 3: Annual Mani Mahesh Yatra for this year is commencing from August 12.
The batch of pilgrims will take bath in Dal lake on August 25 on the eve of Shri Krishna Janam Ashtami.
The Charri of Shri Mani Mahesh yatra will take off on August 25 while devotees from various districts of J&K on buses will accompany the holy mace on September 1. After assembling in Shiv Mandir Ghuraka on August 31, the Charri yatra will proceed further towards Shri Mani Mahesh on September 1. From Shiv Mandir Ghuraka to Shiv Mandir Bhalla, the yatra will proceed on foot and then on buses towards Bhaderwah.
After performing Dardhan of Shri Laxmi Narayan Ji at Bhaderwah, the yatra will proceed further towards Chamba in Himachal Pradesh via Padhri Dhar on the same day. The devotees will take holy bath in Dal Lake on September 7 on the eve of Shri Radha Ashtami and thereafter will proceed their return journey.
