JAMMU, Nov 24: Dubbing manifesto of Congress party as “old wine in new bottle”, BJP candidate for Raipur-Domana Constituency Bali Bhagat today said that since 2002 Congress has been repeating same promises in its manifesto.
Addressing series of public meetings in Raipur-Domana assembly segment, Bali Bhagat ridiculed Congress for repeating the same promises in its 2014 manifesto which the party had included in its 2002 election manifesto. “Congress’s manifesto is reflection of the failure of the party on all fronts”, he said and pointed out that since 2002 Congress party has been in power in the State but it has failed to fulfill even a single promise which the party has been repeatedly making with the people since then. “It appears that one and only aim of Congress is to enjoy the power by bartering wishes and aspirations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir”, he said.
“In 2014 election manifesto Congress leadership has done nothing but only changed the date as document was same which was released in 2002 he said.” By incorporating same promises which the party had made with people in 2002 Assembly in 2014 election manifesto, the Congress party had officially admitted its failure to fulfill promises with the people, he added.
Mocking Congress for promising Regional Council for Jammu region, Bali Bhagat asked the Congress leaders, “what you have done for the people of Jammu region during the last 12?”. He added that during the last 12 years Congress leaders have done nothing except minting money.
Exhorting people to ask Congress leaders to highlight their 12 years achievements, Bhagat said that instead of highlighting their achievements Congress leaders are brazenly making promises with the people. “Gone are the days when Congress used to befool the people by making false promises. Now people are demanding report card of their 12 year period in the power”, the BJP candidate said.
Cautioning people against dangerous game-plan of Congress party, Bali Bhagat said befooling people by making false promise is policy matter of Congress party.
Seeking support of people, Bali Bhagat said that BJP was going to create history in Jammu and Kashmir because party was going to form its own Government in the State.
