NEW DELHI, May 3: After having enthralled cinelovers with her beauty and her performances in several Bollywood films in the 90s, Bollywood actress Manisha Koirala is now ready to make a comeback on the silver screen after a long gap with the film ‘Dear Maya’. As the 90s Bollywood diva gets ready to make a comeback to the silver screen with the flim ‘Dear Maya’, she has piqued curiosity of movie lovers with her amazing transformation for her role of an aged person. In the teaser of the film, which was shared by the actress on the social media, Manisha looks unrecognisable as an old lady with a wrinkled face.
The teaser shows a woman (Manisha) standing by the window. With her wrinkled face, she comes across as aged. The video, whose title reads ‘Manisha Koirala never seen before’, has gone viral and piqued curiosity of cinegoers. Written and directed by Sunaina Bhatnagar and produced by Sandeep Leyzell and Shobhna Yadav under the banner of Bake My Cake Films, ‘Dear Maya’ marks Manisha’s comeback to films after a long gap.
The trailer of the film is set to be unveiled tomorrow. One of the top Bollywood actresses along with Madhuri Dixit and Sridevi, Manisha Koirala established a niche for herself with films like ‘Bombay’, ‘Yalgaar’, ‘Mann’, ‘Dil Se’, ‘Khamoshi’, ‘1942 a love story’ and ‘Saudagar’. Among her other much-awaited films are the Rajkumar Hirani-directed Sanjay Dutt’s biopic, where the actress play role of Nargis, Sanjay Dutt’s mother. The role of Sanjay Dutt is being played by Ranbir Kapoor. The film also stars Dia Mirza as Manyata Dutt, Paresh Rawal as Sunil Dutt, Sonam Kapoor as Dutt’s former lover and Anushka Sharma in a cameo.
