SAMBA, Apr 23: Former Minister and Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party (JKAP), senior leader, Manjit Singh has appealed Government to abolish Sarore Toll Plaza along Jammu-Pathankot National Highway.
“The Government must step-in and abolish Toll Plaza at Sarore in Samba district as locals are being compelled to pay toll on local vehicles contrary to the assurances that no local will be charged,” said former Minister, Manjit Singh.
JKAP senior leader, said that the people are being harassed at the Toll Plaza for collection by the employees even as they were assured that they will not be charged.
“The Toll Plaza has become a symbol of harassment in Samba district where resentment is growing among the people against the toll collect from the locals,” he warned the Government.
If the Government did not abolish the Toll Plaza, he said, the people will come on the roads and hold protest against the injustice with them.
