SAMBA, Nov 19: Apni Party Provincial president, Jammu and former minister, Manjit Singh today demanded reservation of skilled and unskilled jobs for the local youths in the industrial sector of Jammu and Kashmir.
He was addressing a Party workers meeting here in Samba district to discuss various issues confronted by the people in the area regarding development and employment.
The meeting was organized by Provincial president Jammu SC Wing, Lovely Mangol at Samba. In this meeting, District president Samba, Raman Thappa; Women wing District president Samba, Priyanka Mangota and others were present.
During the meeting, Manjit Singh said that the non – locals are being engaged in the industrial sectors whereas the local youths face unemployment and deliberate negligence from the management of the industrial units in Samba, Jammu, and Kathua districts.
However, the Apni Party believe in the protection of jobs, natural resources and land for the locals of Jammu and Kashmir, he said while assuring the participants that if Apni Party forms next Govt in Jammu and Kashmir the rights of the locals would be protected, and reservation would be provided to locals up to 80 percent in industrial sector.
He said that the industrial sector has violated the norms of engaging local youth and the Govt must act against the violators.
While informing about the developmental agenda, he said that the Apni Party is committed to provide 500 units of free electricity in summer season in Jammu region and 300 units of free electricity in winter season across the division.
He said the Party is committed to enhance Rs 5000 from Rs 1000 per month as pension for widow/handicapped/old age pensioner/orphans.
“We will also ensure four cooking gas cylinders under Ujjwala scheme for each poor family, and the marriage assistance to the girls belonging to the economically weaker section will be enhanced up to Rs 1 lakh from Rs 50,000.
He said for restoring confidence of the people, it is important to hold Assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir.
