SAMBA, July 1: Former Minister and JKPCC general secretary, Manjit Singh today expressed concern over electricity and water crisis in Vijaypur, amid skin scorching heat.
When the temperature is soaring above 40 degree Celsius, the PDD and PHE Departments have miserably failed to provide adequate drinking water as well as electricity to the people.
Manjit Singh said this while speaking before the party workers during a monthly meeting here in Vijaypur. After listening to the grievances of various areas, former Minister said, the BJP which roared during election campaigns has been exposed with its anti-people policies in State as well as in Center.
The unscheduled power cuts and its impact on water supply has disrupted normal life of the people in the Vijaypur, he said, and appealed the Government to look into the issue and resolve it as early as possible.
“They should not test patience of the people. Instead, the department and especially BJP should give focus towards the suffering of the people. People have not voted them to power forever. They have to again face people after completing six years in Government,” he reminded BJP.
