SMAILPUR (SAMBA), Aug 27: Provincial President of Apni Party and Former Minister, S. Manjit Singh today promised that the Party will regularize all the daily wagers serving in different departments of the J&K Government.
Continuing election campaign in favour of the Apni Party candidates in Samba District’s constituencies, Manjit Singh said, “More than 61,000 daily wagers have been working in different Government departments in Jammu and Kashmir. Many of them have retired from the service without getting any benefit from the Government or the concerned departments in the last two decades.”
“The issue of daily wagers will be treated on humanitarian ground to regularize them and accordingly, the release of their pending wages immediately if the Apni Party comes to power in Jammu and Kashmir,” he asserted, while elaborating the party’s policy that would be implemented for all the sections of society for their social and economic upliftment.
Manjit said that their Party is aware of the difficulties being faced by the daily wagers because of poor response from the Government regarding their regularization issue.
He also pointed out the poor financial condition of the daily wagers, whose wages remain pending for months together, compelling them to strive for the wages.
Referring to the underdevelopment in Smailpur and its adjoining villages, uprooted roads, lanes and damaged drains, he said that the democratic Government will hold the irresponsible officials accountable for their negligence towards the public issues.
He asked the people to extend their vote and support to the Apni Party candidate in the scheduled assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir for equitable development, protection to the rights of the locals, and employment for the unemployed educated youth.
