VIJAYPUR, Mar 6: Apni Party Provincial President, Jammu, and former Minister, Manjit Singh along with others today paid rich tribute to Kargil war hero, Hawaldar Kulbir Singh to remember his martyrdom at his native village Koulpur in Ramgarh tehsil of District Samba.
As per the press release, a function was organized at the native village of Martyr Kulbir Singh who laid down his life while fighting for the country in 1999 against the Pakistani intruders in Kargil war.
On this occasion, a column of the Indian Army presented a guard of honour to the martyred soldier’s memorial and remembered him as their hero who protected the motherland from the enemies.
Besides Manjit Singh, Apni Party District President Legal Cell, Samba, Adv Sahil Bharti, District President of Apni Party in Samba, Mangat Ram, and other prominent people also paid tribute to the martyr.
While speaking on the occasion, Manjit Singh lauded the role of the martyr and remembered his contribution that he made to the country with the supreme sacrifice.
He said that his martyrdom will always be remembered, and the young generation should learn from the sacrifice of the martyred soldier.
He said that the countrymen have unshakable faith in defence forces because of which they feel safe in their homes whereas the soldiers defend the borders even in harsh conditions.
