Manjit Singh projects public issues before Lt Governor

* Demands inclusion of left out villages in IB quota

VIJAYPUR, Aug 22: Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party (JKAP) senior leader and former minister Manjit Singh today called on Lt Governor Manoj Sinha and highlighted issues of the people in Samba district.
Manjit Singh along with president, Baba Chamlyal Committee, Billu Choudhary had a detailed interaction with the Lt Governor Sinha in which they projected various demands of the people of border areas, businessmen, farmers, reservation issue, bunkers concern etc.
JKAP leader said that the meeting was held under cordial atmosphere and the LG assured that he will look into the demands presented before him in the shape memorandum.
In his memorandum, the former minister demanded construction of bunkers in the left out villages of Vijaypur for the safety and security of the border residents, compensation to the farmers in lieu of land falling in zero-line and fencing on Indo-Pakistan border in Ramgarh, include left-out deserving villages in the reservation quota of border residents along the International Border, ownership right to the Chhamb displaced persons on the land and houses they are occupying/ allotted to them, construction of stadium in Ramgarh, construction of railway track over head bridge at Gurha Morh-Vijaypur, Raya and Salmeri areas of Samba district, up-gradation of receiving station upto 20 MVA in Vijaypur, establishment of new receiving station of 10 MVA for agriculture purpose in Vijaypur and Ramgarh respectively, de-silting of the agriculture fields along the Basantar-Devak rivers which have become barren due flood in 2013-14, Establishment of Fire station at Vijaypur, sanction funds for the new tube-wells and upgradation of infrastructure in Kandi areas.
