JAMMU, Dec 16: Manjushree Wing of Presentation Convent Senior Secondary School, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu today celebrated its 11th Annual Day – “Rainbow Chasers” in all its grandeur and resplendence.
The occasion was graced by Prof. Santnam Kour, Dean Students Welfare, University of Jammu as the chief guest while Rev. Fr. Suresh Britto, Principal, St. Peter’s Hr. Sec School, Karan Bagh was the Guest of Honour.
The theme of the programme was woven around the fact that children live in their own beautiful and colorful world. They must always be allowed to dream and explore freely so that a rainbow is kept alive in their hearts forever. The little angels enthralled the audience with their spectacular performances. They presented a kaleidoscope of dances and skits completely mesmerizing the audience with their innocent moves and bright faces. Keeping in sync with the International Year of Pulses, the tiny tots of Manjushree, through their skit, emphasized on healthy eating to promote holistic health. Aerobics is one way of keeping body fit and active and it was a treat for the eyes to see them swing into action for it.
Prof. Satnam Kour appreciated the efforts of the staff and students of Manjushree in putting forth an impactful performance. She lauded the role of the teachers in proper and holistic grooming of the students for their better tomorrow. Sister Teresita, Sr. In-Charge of Manjushree reflected on giving apt opportunities to students to blossom as per their innate potential. She said that the teaching-learning process should not adhere to traditional approach but should be such that allows the students to explore myriad opportunities available. Also present on the occasion are Sister Hema, Principal Presentation Convent School and Ritesh Kapoor, senior journalist.
