Mankotia calls on Chief Secy for redressal of NYC employees’ issues

UDHAMPUR, June 21: A delegation of National Youth Corps (NYC) employees, led by senior BJP leader and former MLA Balwant Singh Mankotia, called on Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo in Srinagar regarding their problems.
Mankotia submitted a memorandum to the Chief Secretary explaining that NYC employees have been serving in different departments for the last 14 years but neither their salary has been increased nor they have been made permanent.
They are paid a salary of around Rs 6000 month which does not even cover the household expenses, he added and sought immediate redressal of the grievances of the NYC employees.
Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo gave a patient hearing and assured Mankotia that the demands of the NYC employees would be fulfilled soon.
