UDHAMPUR, June 19:  Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party president and MLA Balwant Singh Mankotia has strongly condemned the recent selection list of more than 570 Government doctors wherein 400 posts have been filled by Kashmiri candidates and about 170 from Jammu region.
Addressing a public meeting at Udhampur here today, Balwant Singh Mankotia said that Chief Minister Omar Abdullah himself has admitted that his Government has been tinkering with the lists of PSC and other departments for political gains and the latest selection list of doctors with most from one region only speaks of the desperation of the National Conference-Congress Government to hold some ground in the coming elections.
He demanded immediate scrapping of the list and a probe on how the candidates from a particular region have been selected in whole sale.
Mankotia said that even national Conference leaders have been alleging backdoor appointments by powerful ministers and people will not spare these corrupt and anti-Jammu policies of the Government.
