JAMMU, Feb 16: NPP MLA, Balwant Singh Mankotia today sought action against the Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, who recently has said why to concede the MLAs demand who have got 25 percent of total vote while 75 percent of votes were got collectively by defeated candidates.
Mankotia said that the DC is giving a general impression about it and also told some delegations who visited her.
He sought directives from the Speaker to Government on the issue. Intervening the Minister of Higher Education, Mohammed Akbar Lone said if she has said this it is a serious matter and warrants action under law.
Intervening the Speaker, Mubarak Gul asked him to give in writing so that the action can be initiated against the Officer.
