UDHAMPUR, Feb 24: Balwant Singh Mankotia, MLA Udhampur held public darbar at Battal Panchayat in his constituency.
While addressing the gathering Mankotia announced that Maha Maya Mandir of village Urllian will be development as tourist spot so that pilgrims from different part of State be increased in this area and job opportunity also be increased,
He further said that road project from Garnai to Urllian, Maha Maya Mata has also been sanctioned under NABARD with an estimated cost of Rs 3.67 crore. He added that forest advisory committee has cleared this road project and very soon the construction work will be started.
Mankotia also laid the foundation stone of road project from Battal to Ladyala and said that this road will be constructed under PMGSY scheme with an estimated cost of Rs 3.10 crore with a length of 3.70 km, which will benefit about one thousand population. He also announced Rs 15 lakh for the construction of road from National Highway by pass to Shimby de Bowli via Masjid, Rs 2.50 lakh for construction of culvert at Battal and three hand pumps for the provision of drinking water facility to this area.
The MLA also distributed cheques among the formers for the construction of house under Sericulture Housing Scheme. He announced that a project has also been prepared by PHE Department for the improvement of water supply at Battal Ballian area.
Other who were present on the occasion, included Raju Singh, Sanjay Sharma, Babu Ram, Bansi Lal, Onkar Singh, Gulshan Kesar, Mahdev Singh, Vijay Verma, Skinder Singh, Rafiq Chandel and Pappu Padha.
