UDHAMPUR, Jan 20: Balwant Singh Mankotia, MLA Udhampur today laid the foundation stone of water supply scheme of Kambal Danga.
While addressing the gathering on the occasion, he said that this scheme will be completed at an estimated cost of Rs. 4.95 crore which will benefit about 5000 people of Kembal Danga, Sunari, Hartyan, Neeli Nallah, Barolla, Jib, Sail Jattan and Sanoo.
He said that people of these Panchayats are facing acute shortage of drinking water for the last so many years and for the WSS the water will be lifted from Railway Tunnel Kuduian.
Mr. Mankotia demanded up-gradation of Jib-Thathi road up to Bassa More and said that detailed project report has been formulated with the cost of Rs. 40 crore and submitted to State Govt. for funding under ABD scheme.
