JAMMU, Apr 3: Chairman of House Committee constituted to examine the cause of alarming increase in the deaths of patients in SKIMS, Srinagar and SMGS Hospital, Jammu, Balwant Singh Mankotia today moved Privilege Motion against the Health Department.
Soon after tabling the report of the House Committee in the Legislative Assembly, Mr Mankotia said, “I am also moving Privilege Motion against the Health Department for not extending cooperation”.
“What to talk of extending fullest cooperation, the department’s officers even kept the Members of the House Committee waiting for nearly two hours before paying visit to the hospital”, Mr Mankotia said.
Meanwhile, Qamar Ali Akhoon presented the 51st Report of the Committee on Public Accounts while as G M Saroori presented 45th Report of the Committee on Public Undertakings.
Abdul Gani Malik presented the 43rd Report of the Committee on Estimates while as Prof Chaman Lal Gupta presented 2nd Report of the Committee on Subordinate Legislation of 11thLegislative Assembly.
Harshdev Singh presented 2nd Report of the Committee on Privileges of the 11th Legislative Assembly while as S S Slathia presented the 18th Report of the Committee on Government Assurances.
Mohammad Sharief Niaz presented the 3rd Report of the Committee on Petitions of the 11thLegislative Assembly while as Jagdish Raj Sapolia presented 4th Report of the Ethics Committee on the 11th Legislative Assembly.
