Mankotia urges Governor to dissolve Assembly

UDHAMPUR, July 29: Expressing deep concern over prevailing political crisis in State, former MLA and NPP State president Balwant Singh Mankotia has urged the Governor of Jammu and Kashmir N N Vohra to dissolve the present Assembly and hold fresh elections in the State.
“Law makers are using Government functions for their political gains and befooling people by one or other pretext.   Those who chant slogans of values and ethics are worst violators of the law in State,” he said while addressing a press conference, here today.
Pointing out that Governor has special powers under Article 53(2) B to dissolve the J&K Assembly and recommend fresh elections in the State, Mr Mankotia said that the present political situation requires intervention of Governor to implement his special powers to dissolve J&K Assembly in State for fresh mandate.
Party activists Samneek Bhasin,  Shekhar Raina,  Krishan Singh,  Amit Sharma and other  were also present on the occasion.
