UDHAMPUR, Oct 5: Jammu Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) State president and MLA Udhampur, Balwant Singh Mankotia’s Aanshann (indefinite fast) entered fourth day today.
The family members of Mr. Mankotia including his three year old son Rananjay, his daughter Akhsunya who is 5th Class Student and 80 Years old mother Sarju Devi along with hundreds of ladies, youth, people from Panchyat Rehambal lower /upper, Darsoo, Battal, Chak, Mand, Sansoo, Kotli Magani, Padanoo & Barta etc also joined the one day Aanshann in support of NPP leader.
Mr. Mankotia said that the Sate as well as Central Government is making tall claims of providing relief and rehabilitation to the flood affected families in Jammu and Kashmir especially in Jammu Pradesh but it is only in papers. He further said that the Central Government has assured to declare J&K flood and rain fall losses as national calamity but after passing of one month nothing has been done so far. Mr. Mankotia demanded immediate declaration of J&K’s loss due to flood and rain as National Calamity.
He said it is unfortunate that the local administration has totally failed in distributing the relief material being provide by NGOs, others States & common citizen of India. He further said that thousand of quintals of ration got rotten due to negligence of local Administration as well as Sate Government.
Mr. Mankotia further said that chatter of demands has already been sent to Prime Minister of India and people hope that he will consider these demand at the earliest so that the people of Jammu Pradesh may not be discriminated even on relief distribution issue.
Upinder Singh Parmar MLA from Bihar also visited the Dharna spot & assured Mr. Mankotia full support to his ongoing struggle for the flood affected people of Jammu Province.
Prof. Bhim Singh Chief Pattern JKNPP also visited Dharna spot to assure full support to Mr. Mankotia & his team for his on going struggle.
