Manohar accuses BJP of discriminating with Jammu

JAMMU, Apr 2: Former minister and senior Congress leader Dr Manohar Lal Sharma  strongly accused the Bhartiya Janata Party of its discriminatory attitude towards Jammu after its failure on all fronts including much talked  anti-militancy drive, allocation of funds and their promise of employment in equal share at par with Kashmir.
Dr Sharma termed that the BJP at the Center and PDP- BJP coalition in Jammu and Kashmir have  completely failed in doing justice particularly with the people of Jammu region in all spheres including governance and deliverance whether it may be the case of equal  share in employment through Public Service Commission, SSRB and other recruiting State  agencies, there is a complete discrimination with Jammu people.
PCC general secretary also pointed out the less allocation of funds in Jammu region as compared to Kashmir in all sectors including PWD, PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control, PDD, Health and Medical Education Dept, Housing and Urban Development,  Rural Development Dept and Education as well the diversion of  allocated funds from Jammu region to Kashmir region without any justified reason by virtue of which a huge liability had been created and the people are suffering badly due to non- availability of required funds.
Dr Sharma asked BJP to come clear on the less allotment of Post Graduate seats in Jammu Medical Collage as compare to Srinagar Medical Collage and alleged that State Medical Education Ministry as well as Union Health Ministry has  totally failed to fulfill the required criteria.
He claimed that most of the inaugurations which had been done in recent past were started by the previous Government and not even a single project had been initiated or completed by the Modi Government on his own efforts. The Prime Minister Modi inaugurated all the five projects namely Chenani- Nashri tunnel, Baglihar Phase -II, Uri Hydro Project, Transmission line Leh and SMVD Narayana Hospital Panthal, and they all  were initiated by previous Government.
