JAMMU, May 14: Dr Manohar Lal Sharma, former Minister and senior Congress leader has demanded judicial probe into working of Himgiri Infrastructure Development Limited company, incorporated in the year 2000 by the senior BJP leaders, which owes Rs 29.31 crores by J&K Bank to buy the land next to the Army Ammunition Depot in Nagrota.
Pointing towards alleged fishy deals of the company, which got a 3 MW hydel power project in Chamba when Prem Kumar Dhumal was CM of Himachal Pradesh, the Congress leader said that a thorough probe needs to be conducted by a sitting Judge of High court or Supreme Court.
Dr Sharma termed this as acid test for BJP and PM Narendra Modi,  whose well publicized  phrase ” Na Khaunga Na Khane Dunga”  will be  proved a deceive to the people if he fails to conduct thread bearing inquiry to bring the truth to public domain.
Dr Manohar Lal Sharma also strongly condemned the statement of Dr Nirmal Kumar Singh in which he alleged that Indain Army was harassing the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
He said that it was unbearable to the people of State that the Army guarding the boundaries of J&K State has been wrongfully alleged by the Ex Dy CM for his vested interests.
“The Ex DyCM is speaking the language of separatist to satisfy his masters and follow their footprints for the sake of power. It is highly objectionable that BJP and its leadership using such anti national and anti people moves for their political and personal gains compromising the national interest,” he added.
Dr Sharma also questioned  the central leadership of   Bhartiya Janata Party, including PM Narendra Modi  who has maintained a mum over such issues of national importance. “Rather their inaction seems as a support to these persons,” he added.
