KATHUA, Jan 20: Former Minister and senior Congress leader Manohar Lal Sharma has expressed his reservations over the Central Government’s proposal of setting up Regional Institute of Education by NCERT at Basohli, instead of Billawar.
In a statement, the ex-MLA said that Billawar was more suitable for setting up the Institute because of being a centrally located place and connected through road network with Jammu, Kathua and other districts as well as neighbouring State.
He appealed the Union HRD Ministry to review the decision with regard to place of setting up the Institute and said that any injustice with Billawar will lead to unrest among people there.
