Manohar expresses concern over Pak firing

JAMMU, Nov 4: Dr Manohar Lal Sharma, former Minister and general secretary PCC, has expressed serious concern over the unprovoked firing on LoC and IB by Pakistan and termed it as the worst policy failure of the BJP Government on foreign policy front which has left the border people helpless in this time of hardship.
Both the Central and State Governments were not serious in helping the affected families residing close to the LoC and IB inspite of huge hue and cry by the general public since long.
Dr Sharma strongly condemned Pakistan Government and its army for crossing all the limits of humanity and continued heavy morter shelling on the civilians in which number of innocent civilians were killed and rest injured seriously as also their cattle perished is totally against ethics of civil rights of any country. Dr Sharma further criticized such a cruel and unethical behaviour of Pakistan army.
Dr Sharma strongly warned the Government to stand by its commitment and provide 5 marla land at safe location and the genuine compensation of the crops and cattle which were promised by BJP leaders including Dr Jitendra Singh, union MoS at PMO and DoPT, several times during election and afterwards which were not fulfilled despite lapse of nearly three years.
Dr Sharma further taking note of the compensation paid to the martyrs of Indian Army and para-military forces including Jammu and Kashmir Police Personnel amounting to Rs 5 lakh which is very less as compared to others States and said it should be minimum Rs 25 lakh as in many cases. There is no person left behind to feed the families of martyrs.
