Manohar flays Govt on foreign policy towards Pak

KATHUA, Sept 21: Former minister and PCC general secretary Dr Manohar Lal Sharma today strongly criticized the BJP Government led by Narendra Modi for its biggest failure on its foreign policy towards Pakistan.
In a press statement here the Congress leader alleged that BJP led Govt stand exposed on all fronts- domestic as well as in dealing with international affairs which is clearly indicated by the present unrest in Kashmir and the recent cowardly militant attack on Army Brigade Headquarter in Uri in which 18 soldiers attained martyrdom while retaliating to the militants’ attack.
Dr Sharma condemn this cowardly act of Pakistan sponsored militants with heavy heart and expressed heartfelt sympathies to the family of the martyrs. He said that Pakistan is in the state of frustration due to its internal deteriorating condition of law and order and political unstability to shift the attention of its people from its failures take such type of barbaric steps as well as exploiting people of Kashmir on religious and various other grounds will prove fatal to the peace and stability of the region.
He alleged that soft approach of NDA Govt which has been seen during over two years period of Modi regime has proved as diplomatic failure. He referred to Vajpayee’s Lahore Bus Yatra, unsuccessful Agra Summit with General Musharraf and then Kargil attack. He also referred to Modi’s visit to the Pakistan to attend marriage function at Nawaz Sharief’s house and exchange of gifts between both of them and then Pathankot airbase strike.
Dr Sharma said that the BJP always tried to please Pakistan and gave a message to nation for its diplomatic achievements even ignoring the result of proxy war initiated by Pakistan in Jammu and Kashmir for more than thirty years for which nation had paid a heavy cost.
