BILLAWAR, Dec 17: Senior Congress leader and party candidate for Billawar constituency Dr Manohar Lal Sharma today undertook door-to-door campaign and also addressed election rally at Phinter, where he appealed people to press the button for Congress Party Symbol.
Sharma said that constituency is lagging behind because of misrepresentation by the BJP false propoganda and befooling the poor people of the constituency.
He described BJP as directionless, derailed from their past rhetoric of Article 370 and CM from Jammu and trying to offer lollypop of development, adding that BJP has failed to give anything special to our State affected due to heavy floods.
“In my 12 years of his tenure, I ensured higher education to students at their doorsteps by opening of degree college, upgradation of schools, opening of college and schools, adequate drinking water and power supply, agricultural inputs supplies, roads connectivity, he informed. He added that Congress alone can steer forward the development and to empower Jammu region with Regional Development Council as pledged in its manifesto.
He said that it is hoped that people of Billawar are not going to be misled by false propaganda and hollow slogans of BJP and give their mandate in favour of Congress party which has always maintained principle of secularism and ensured equitable development of all parts of the State.
