KATHUA, Oct 25: Minister of State for Fisheries, Cooperatives, Finance and Planning Dr Manohar Lal Sharma today inaugurated newly constructed additional eight room building for upgraded Government High School, Dhralta here today at Billawar .
The eight room building, including a toilet complex has been completed at an estimated cost of Rs 39.91 Lakh under Rashtriya Madhmik Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA).
After dedicating the building to the people, Dr Manohar Lal Sharma said the Government has upgraded a record number of schools to provide education facilities to the students at their door steps.
Earlier students had to walk several kilometers to attend their schools after Primary and Middle but with the opening of new and up-gradation of existing schools their time and money. The Minister gave detailed account of the upgraded schools in Billawar constituency. He said with the opening of new schools, opportunities of jobs under Rehbar-e-Taleem were also made available to local employed youths.
Responding to the demands of the locals Dr Sharma said that the demands of Water Supply Scheme, Blacktopping of Dhralta Morh- Salari road and demand of Urdu teacher are under the active consideration and will be taken up shortly.
