Manohar Lal conducts tour of Billawar areas

JAMMU, Jan 31: Former Minister and senior Congress leader Dr Manohar Lal Sharma conducted an extensive tour of the far- flung areas of Billawar constituency and took stock of the problems being faced by people.
During his tour, the Congress leader paid visit to Bathar, Juthana, Malindi, Nallau, Najot, Dhralta, Morian, Koug,  Marduin, Tilla, Dhed, Bhaddu and Kishenpur Dungara and interacted with the local people, Panchs and Sarpanchs besides prominent leaders of the area. He came to know about the problems faced by the people of the areas.
The public apprised Dr Sharma about the condition of roads, water supply schemes and power crisis being faced by them. They told that there is unscheduled power cuts about 10 to 12 hours per day and no body is  bothered to listen to them.
Panchayat representatives and general public criticized  Government for its non- serious attitude to attend the public grievances. The people openly accused the previous BJP-PDP dispensation for the pitiable condition. They said that the works launched by previous Govt have been stalled.
Dr Sharma strongly criticized the Government for its failure to take steps to start and complete  all ongoing developmental works in whole constituency and particularly in the far flung areas.
Meanwhile,  the Ex-MLA also attended  a Dogri cultural program at High School Najot in Malhar zone on the eve of Republic Day celebrations in which large number of people of village and adjoining areas  from all walks of life attended the function and appreciated the role of students and participants for their colourful performances.
