Manohar Lal visits martyr Bhim Singh’s family

KATHUA, July 10: Minister of State for Cooperative, Finance and Fisheries, Dr Manohar Lal Sharma today visited the family of martyr Bhim Singh, who had died in a helicopter crash while ferrying relief for Uttarakhand victims last month.
Accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Kathua, district SSP and MLC Subash Gupta, the Minister reached Bobiyan and shared his grief with the bereaved family besides conveying condolence over the tragic death of brave heart Bhim Singh.
He said that martyrdom of Bhim Singh was in line with the traditions of brave Dogras, who believe in sacrificing even own life for helping the needy.
Dr Manohar Lal assured that the Government would extend all possible help to family of the martyr, who has made entire Jammu and Kashmir and particularly Kathua district to feel proud of its great soldier son.
Pertinent to mention that ITBP Sub-Inspector Bhim Singh had attained martyrdom in a chopper crash while rescuing stranded people in flood-hit Uttarakhand on July 26.
