JAMMU, Jan 22: Former minister and DCC president for Kathua, Dr Manohar Lal Sharma today urged upon the Union Government to enact Domicile Law, provide 100 % job guarantee to the local youth and restore statehood to J&K.
Talking to media-persons here today, Manohar Lal said that in order to safeguard the rights and interests of the local educated unemployed youth and local farmers, Govt must enact Domicile law so that the outsiders could be barred from participating in selections for Govt jobs and from buying lands and other properties of poor people through distress sales.
Manohar said previously state subject laws was applicable in the state of J&K which gives protection to the farmers of the state from being robbed of their lands by rich non- state subjects and If the outsiders are allowed to apply for the already negligible jobs in the state of J&K, the local educated youth shall be the greatest sufferers which will further deprive them of the existing opportunities of absorption in civil services. The concern of the unemployed youth is most genuine and they would like the jobs of J&K to be restricted to the local youth. He also pressed for restoring Statehood back to J&K.
