KATHUA, June 13: Former minister and PCC general secretary Dr Manohar Lal Sharma has questioned the progress and development works initiated by BJP in Billawar Sub Division.
Addressing public meetings  at Gurha in Billawar constituency today, Dr Sharma questioned the progress achieved in the area. He alleged step motherly treatment shown by BJP regime towards the people of Billawar constituency during last 4 years.
The people from different walks of life attended the meeting and expressed the problems they are facing under current regime. The people apprised Dr Sharma of the daily hardship whether its high cost of commodities, ill state of roads, poor medical services in  SDH Billawar, corruption in the departments, water scarcity etc.
The PCC leader while taking serious note of the problems lamented the administrative authorities and said that they shall work for the welfare of the people of  Billawar and not under the influence of any body  that hinders the  smooth functioning. He said  it is evident that the authorities are pressurized to work in a specific way with dictates from political bosses of one particular party  but this must be stopped. He said that the only approach of the common masses in democracy is up to administrative authorities and if they even won’t listen to them and settle their problems then there is  no way left for helpless masses other then coming on roads.
Dr Sharma questioned the fate of five tehsils namely -Gurha Kalyyal, Lohai Malhar, Barnoti, Dugaan and  Nayabat Sukrala Devi and Dher. He further said why the high schools upgraded by previous Govt are still non- functional. People are facing daily hardship owing to this step motherly attitude of Govt.
Former Sarpanch Karan Singh, Ramesh Sapolia, Sham Spolia and  Budhhi Singh also spoke  on the occasion.
