KATHUA, Sept 2: Former Minister Dr Manohar Lal Sharma is going to contest Assembly election from Billawar constituency as an Independent candidate if the Congress Party denies him mandate.
While addressing a large public rally at Mandli in Billawar today, Dr Manohar Lal said that the people of Billawar, especially youth have reposed full confidence on him and now he has made up his mind to contest as Independent candidate.
He said that Billawar people consider as mass leader as he is working for common masses since decades wether he win election or not. He has started his political career as Chairman of Lok Jagriti Manch and won first election as Independent candidate.
Manohar Lal said that the common man is facing number of problems in the absence of popular Govt in J&K. The people have no place to cry for their burning issues. The unemployed youth are worried, daily wager and Asha workers were raising issues strongly, the basic amenities are far away from public reach.
The people will get relief after formation of new Govt J&K and also get relief from worries and basic amenities. Manohar said he has projected the demand of Pahari Zila for Billawar and industrialization to avail employment avenues for the local youth. He has appealed the people to support him and join big rally on September 5 on the day of filing of nomination papers.
