JAMMU, Dec 24: Former Minister and DCC Kathua, president Dr Manohar Lal Sharma targeted BJP for its falsehood and utter failure on all fronts and betraying the people of Jammu, who gave them massive mandate during last assembly elections.
Referring to Rafale deal, Dr Sharma said that falsehood of the Modi Govt was exposed before the Apex Court and also people of this country. He said Rafale has turned out to be a big scam during Modi Govt. He demanded a JPC probe into the whole episode.
While commenting on the recently announced Central Industrial package for J&K, Sharma said it is just mockery with the Industrialist of the State. He said this scheme has validity up to March 2020, but in the process of setting new industrial unit, it takes a year and even more including allotments and NoC’s from various departments. Whereas, only 15 months have been left for this scheme to lapse. It will prove big failure. No benefit has been given to the existing units under the scheme.
The DCC chief said that unemployment is all time high in the country. India has about 65 percent of youth population but 30 percent of them are unemployed. He said BJP Govt has failed to provide 2 crore jobs which they had promised during elections. Sharma said even after completing more than 10 years of services more than 62000 daily wagers in various departments such as PDD, PHE, Forest etc. are waiting for regularization. They are not getting their wages released regularly thus leading them and their families to starvation. Thousands of teachers under Rehber-e-Taleem have completed 5 years of service and are still waiting for regularization. He further said that no relief was provided to the farmers whose crop was damaged twice during past three years.
While pointing on the rehabilitation of cross border firing victims Dr Sharma said that today people residing on LoC are waiting for safe places as promised by the BJP Government. He said kith and kin of those who have died in cross border firing are still waiting for compensation.
The Congress leader further alleged that many projects started during Congress regime were stalled/ abandoned by BJP Government. He said that Kathua district has suffered a lot due to the policies of the BJP Government. He said many projects started by him were also abandoned.
