KATHUA/RAJOURI, Feb 23: The dead body of an unknown man was recovered in Lagate area of Kathua this morning while a villager fell down from a tree and died in Kotranka area of Rajouri today.
A Police spokesman said dead body of an unknown person in the age group of ground of 55 years, was found lying in the shed of a shopkeeper at Lagate near Kathua this morning. The people noticed the man lying dead and informed police. The police party examined the spot and shifted the body to the mortuary of Kathua hospital. The inquest proceedings under Section 174 CrPC were initiated.
One Mohd Gafoor, son of Jumma, resident of Dharamsal in Kotranka (Budhal) was killed on the spot after he fell down from a tree. He was cutting branches of a tree to provide its leaves as fodder for his goats. Strong wind was blowing that time and he fell down and died on the spot.
