SRINAGAR, Dec 16: The body of a man Manzoor Ahmad Sheikh aged 45, son of Abdul Ahad of New Colony, Batmaloo, Srinagar was fished out from Dal lake today afternoon.
A police spokesman said Sheikh had drowned in Dal Lake at Ghat No. 7. He was shifted to SMHS Hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.
Police has started an inquest proceeding under Section 174 Cr P C in this regard. The body was handed over his relatives for last rites, the spokesman said.
