JAMMU, Feb 5: Many social, political, trade, youth and other organizations have strongly condemned the LG’s Administration and BJP for the withdrawal of posts from Public Service Commission and Service Selections Board, recommended by various Government departments prior to Oct 31, 2019.
J&K High Court Bar Association, Jammu, in an emergent meeting held today under the Chairmanship of MK Bhardwaj, its president,   condemned the decision of the UT Administration for withdrawing the posts referred to JKPSC & JKSSB before 31-10-2019. The JKHCBAJ, strongly condemned the arbitrary and illegal withdrawal of posts.
Bhardwaj warned the Government not to play with the career of the youth. He said there is already dearth of job opportunities for the youth of J&K. It is quite shocking that this blunder would create further chaos  among the youth as they will be deprived of their legitimate right of employment. The youth are future of any nation but depriving  them of their legitimate right of participation in the selection process, has been said to be unconstitutional, improper, inappropriate action on the part of UT administration. Bhardwaj condemned the action of the UT Administration whereby the selection process which is pending prior to Oct 31, 2019 have been declared to be withdrawn.

Senior Members MP Singh Palli (Vice president), Surjeet Singh Andotra (general secretary), Aditya Sharma (joint secretary), Amandeep Singh ( treasurer), Rohit Sharma (YLA president), Gagandeep Singh Lucky (YLA vice president), Yaseer Farooq Khan (YLA general secretary) and many others attended the meeting.
CPI(M) leader Mohamad Yousuf Tarigami has said that the J&K Government’s  decision to withdraw  all the  posts  advertised by prime recruiting agencies JKSSB and JKPSC before October, 2019 is rather unfortunate as the move has dashed the hopes of hundreds of job aspirants.
In a statement today, Tarigami said the government’s decision came at a time when the unemployment graph in the region has significantly shot up. The Centre for Monitoring Indian Economy (CMIE) recently pegged the unemployment rate in Jammu and Kashmir at 22.2 percent, which is  highest in the country.
The decision will turn hundreds of  applicants ineligible for the government jobs who crossed the upper age limit in the same year. The move reeks of the government’s plot of making non-permanent residents eligible for the government jobs in the region, which lost its special constitutional position on August 5, 2019. The government should roll back its decision forthwith and stop riding roughshod over the wishes of unemployed youth.
Former minister and vice president of Pradesh Congress Committee Mula Ram and DCC Jammu Rural chief, Th Hari Singh today strongly condemned withdrawal of advertised posts from JKPSC and SSB.
In a joint press statement these leaders said, “The Government is working directionless with no clarity above how to deal with the growing unemployment. At one hand , they advertise vacant posts for recruitment and then abruptly they withdraw them with out taking into account the amount of mental stress and psychological state of the unemployed youth.”
“The Government has failed on all fronts and there is poor management in handling the unemployment. The recruitment agencies should have been allowed to continue the recruitment process. The LG Administration must review its decision immediately,” they added.
Criticizing the J&K Govt, Apni Party State general secretary Vikram Malhotra urged the Lt Governor Manoj Sinha to review withdrawal order of the posts which were referred to the J&K Public Service Commission and Services Selection Board before October 31, 2019 for recruitment.
Addressing a press conference at party office Gandhi Nagar today, Malhotra, accompanied by Provincial president Jammu Women Wing, Namrta Sharma, Provincial secretary Dr Rohit Gupta and State vice president Youth Wing Raqeeq Ahmed Khan, raised serious questions on the withdrawal of the advertised posts which were referred to recruiting agencies.
“The decision to withdraw advertised posts was taken by the Govt in an arbitrary and theocratic manner pushing the unemployed towards the darkness,” said Malhotra.
He said that the Govt should reconsider its decision and continue the process of recruitment for the youth on the posts referred to the PSC and SSB.
Former MLA, Balwant Singh Mankotia while reacting to the Govt decision said that many youth from Udhampur area met him during last two days and expressed strong resentment and anger against the government decision on withdrawn of posts referred to PSC/SSB prior to Oct 30, 2019. He said the J&K UT Government made mockery of unemployed youth by taking this decision. It will spoil the future of many youths as most of the youth who had filled the forms are turning overage.
Mankotia demanded that the Govt should take back this dictatorship decision soon  so that youth can get jobs according to their ability.
Jammu and Kashmir Border Area Development Conference (JKBADC), the registered organization working for the welfare of people of border areas of the J&K has strongly reacted to the decision of the J&K Administrative, regarding withdrawal of all kinds of job notifications issued before Oct 2019 by JKPSC and SSB.
Dr Shazad Malik, the former Vice Chancellor and Chairman of the JKBADC called the decision to scrap pre-2019 posts as  ‘ ill advised’ and ‘injudicious’ one that would ruin the lives of 1000s of aspiring educated youth of Jammu and Kashmir who were waiting anxiously for the outcome of the recruitments process for which they had submitted their application forms with the JKPSC and JKSSB.
Dr Shazad urged the Lieutenant Governor  Manoj Sinha to immediately review this decision as it would directly impact the youth of  J&K especially those are now over aged but were eligible before 2019 when they had submitted their applications for different jobs.
Mission Statehood, president Sunil Dimple has also condemned the Govt decision over withdrawal of posts from JKPSC and SSB and urged the LG’s Administration to review this anti-youth decision. He said there was strong anger among the unemployed educated youth against BJP and LG’s Administration and youth may come on roads in thousands if this decision was not revoked.
Meanwhile, Shiv Sena activists led by J&K unit president Manish Sahni held protest against Govt decision to withdraw posts from SSB/PSC and warned the LG Administration to roll back or get ready to face tough resistance from unemployed youth across J&K.
