RAJOURI, Aug 26: Dozens of people today joined DPAP in presence of former MLA and senior party leader Ashok Sharma during meeting at Taryath in Kalakote area.
Prominent among those who joined included-Prabh Dayal, Dharampal Sharma, Ramesh Kumar, Absul Majeed, Ashok Kumar, Kuldeep Kumar, Mohd Altaf, Tarik Hussain, Mohd Ashraf, Talib Hussain and others.
They joined Democratic Progressive Azad Party (DPAP) in the presence of Advocate Ashok Sharma, ex-MLA Kalakote & ex-MLC before upcoming assembly elections to strengthen the hands of the party chief Ghulam Nabi Azad.
Sharma said that people of J&K in general and of Kalakote-Sunderbani in particular have witnessed worse under BJP led Central as well as State Governments. He alleged that present dispensation was responsible for the worst ever sufferings of the common man.
He said that anti-youth policies have led disappointment, mistrust and alienation among youth, as the present dispensation failed to fulfill their commitment, genuine urges and aspirations of youth.
