Many social organizations celebrate Independence Day

JAMMU, Aug 16: Many social organizations here celebrated the 77th Independence Day of India with fervor and patriotic spirit.
An impressive function was held at Bari Brahmana Industries Association (BBIA) Office to celebrate the 77th Independence Day of India in the presence of Lalit Mahajan, president BBIA, Rajesh Jain, secretary and Vivek Singhal, treasurer along with Police and Civil Defense officials and others. The National Flag was hoisted by Lalit Mahajan and this was followed by National Anthem recitation.
Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI), Jammu celebrated 77th Independence Day with fervour.
Hoisting of National Flag was done at Chamber House by Arun Gupta, CCI president in the presence of other CCI office bearers and senior members of CCI after which National Anthem was recited amid salutation to the National Flag.
Chamber of Traders Federation celebrated the Independence Day by hoisting the National Flag at its Channi Office, Jai Hind Tower. The National Flag was hoisted by Convener Industry Cell BJP, Neeraj Anand and this was followed by singing of National Anthem.
Independence Day was celebrated at Government Joinery Mills Bari Brahmana, a unit of J&K Industries Ltd. On this occasion National Flag was hoisted by Vikas Gupta, Managing Director of J&K Industries.
Water Works (PHE) Employees Association Jammu celebrated Independence Day with zeal and enthusiasm. The National Flag was unfurled by Association president, Balbder Raj at Company Bagh, Jammu after which National Anthem was recited.
PHE Workers Welfare Association celebrated the Independence Day under the leadership of their president Rajesh Jamwal. The National Flag was jointly hoisted by Bakshi Singh, Subash Verma and Sham Lal Sharma, AEE PHE City Sub-Division Dounthli.
The 77th Independence Day was celebrated at Jal Shakti (PHE) Station Barrian Udhampur wherein a large number of employees and workers participated in the function. Som Nath, senior Trade Union leader of Jammu Province was chief guest and he hoisted the National Flag. The children sang National Anthem on this occasion.
Sulabh International Social Service Organisation J&K celebrated the Independence Day at its Headquarter Office in Trikuta Nagar. National Flag was hoisted by Harish Kumar Yadav. Sanjay Kumar Thakur, Additional Controller Sulabh International Social Service Organization J&K extended best wishes to all the members present at the function.
Mulkh Raj Ashok Kumar Jewellers celebrated the Independence Day with the spirit of patriotism at its Channi Himmat showroom. Amidst an atmosphere charged with patriotic enthusiasm, the family members and staff of Mulkh Raj Ashok Kumar Jewellers joined hands to mark this momentous occasion. National Flag was hoisted by Ankur Suri, Managing Director of Mulkh Raj Ashok Kumar Jewellers and National Anthem was also recited.
Independence Day was celebrated at various places in Rehari-Sarwal area. JMC Councillor of Ward number 25 and Chairman Health and Sanitation Committee of JMC, Arun Khanna hoisted the National Flag at Boys HSS Rehari, Girls Middle School Rehari, Arya Samaj Mandir Rehari Colony, Prahlad Bali Chowk, Main Bazar Rehari and at Main Chowk Sarwal.
Welfare Committee of Ward number 8 celebrated Independence Day at Rehari/Dogra Hall and the National Flag was hoisted by N.D Rajwal, former JMC Councillor. This was followed by National Anthem recitation.
Independence Day was celebrated in Ward number 20 wherein JMC Councillor, Rahul Kumar of Ward number 20 hoisted the National Flag at Park No. 3 and Valmiki Colony. Speaking on the occasion Rahul Kumar emphasized that country’s relentless march towards progress and development is a testament to PM Modi’s dedication.
Welfare Society of Guru Nanak Nagar Jammu celebrated 77th Independence Day with pomp and show. National Flag was unfurled and National Anthem was recited.
Kailash Nagar Welfare Society Talab Tillo celebrated 77th Independence Day. Ankush Abrol, NC leader was chief guest and he hoisted the National Flag. This was followed by the singing of National Anthem.
Trikuta Nagar Welfare Society (TNWS) celebrated Independence Day and organized a walk in which a large gathering participated amidst chanting of patriotic songs. National Flag was hoisted in TNWS complex at main market Trikuta Nagar. Rajinder Parshad Kakkar, president TNWS extended greetings to participants.
Dogra Sadar Sabha J&K celebrated Independence Day with great enthusiasm. In this regard a function was held in the premises of Sabha Bhawan at Dogra Hall, Jammu wherein Th. Gulchain Singh Charak, DSS president hoisted the National Flag and this was followed by National Anthem recitation.
DSS Udhampur organized a function to celebrate 77th Independence Day and K.K Bhardwaj, former president DSS hoisted the National Flag in the presence of other Sabha members.
The Independence Day was celebrated by Dogra Brahmin Pratinidhi Sabha Jammu. National Flag was hoisted by Sabha president, Ved Prakash Sharma while Chander Mohan Sharma, senior BJP leader was chief guest. Rich tributes were paid to the freedom fighters who laid down their lives for the freedom of our country.
On Independence Day a programme was organized by Shri Amar Kshatriya Rajput Sabha at Gurha Salathia in which local singers and artists paid tributes to the martyrs by singing patriotic songs. Citizens lit lamps in the memory of the martyrs at Shaheed Smarak Gurha Salathia. BJP Samba district in-charge Thakur Narayan Singh was chief guest. Families of the martyrs were also honored on this occasion.
Jammu Central Mahajan Sabha celebrated Independence Day and the Tricolor was hoisted by Sabha president, Romesh Chander Gupta along with other office bearers. President of the Sabha called upon the youths to take inspiration from brave hearts who sacrificed their lives for the sake of nation.
On Independence Day, National Flag hoisting ceremony was organized by All J&K Mahasha Sadar Sabha and Guru Nabha Dass Trust jointly headed by Kali Dass and N.D Rajwal, its president and chairman respectively wherein the president hoisted the National Flag in the presence of many community members.
On Independence Day, president of Muslim Federation Jammu (MFJ), Abdul Majid hoisted National Flag at Makkah Masjid Chowk in Bathindi. Members of Makkah Masjid Committee were also present on the occasion. Speaking on the occasion MFJ president expressed unwavering determination that Independence Day is a reminder of secularism, brotherhood and love for our country.
J&K Dharmarth Trust celebrated the 77th Independence Day with fervour and patriotism. Brig (Retd.) R.S Langeh, Trust president and Ashok Kumar Sharma, (SSP Retd.), Trust secretary hoisted the National Flag in the presence of Trust employees and other staff members and this was followed by the singing of National Anthem.
Vishwa Yog Sansthaan Ashram at Hari Ki Pauri, Bagh-e-Bahu, Jammu celebrated the 77th Independence Day with fervor and enthusiasm. Hanuman Chalisa chanting and invigorating Yoga and meditation classes were held on this occasion under the guidance by Yog Guru Karan, Head of Vishwa Yog Samsthaan.

Bharat Sevashram Sangha (BSS), Panjgrain, Nagrota organized a function to celebrate 77th Independence Day with patriotic fervour. The celebrations began with hoisting of National Flag by the chief guest, Dr Nirmal Singh, former Dy CM of J&K in presence of Senior Swami Mrinmoyananda Ji Maharaj, Swami Satyamitrananda, secretary Jammu Branch and others. National Flag hoisting ceremony was followed by recitation of National Anthem.
Dogri Sanstha celebrated Independence Day at Dogri Bhawan, Karan Nagar Jammu. Prof. Lalit Magotra, Sanstha president hoisted the National Flag and talked on the importance of this day.
Durga Nag Trust celebrated the Independence Day at Trust Jang Gar in Bernai, Jammu under the leadership of Trustees Prof. Zuthsi, A.K Bhat and Bihari Kak. National Flag was hoisted and slogans of Bharat Mata Ki Jai were raised.
Central Government Pensioners’ Welfare Association, Jammu celebrated 77th Independence Day with enthusiasm. At a well-attended function State Election Commissioner J&K, B.R Sharma who is Life Member of CGPWA unfurled the National Flag. A posse of cops and members of the Association saluted the Tricolour. A life member of the Association and noted Hindi poet Ashok Sharma recited a poem on great freedom fighter, Mangal Pandey from his recently published book. Among those present on the occasion were vice president, Dr Sudarshan Kumar, general secretary, K.B Jandial, secretary, B.B Magotra, treasurer, O.P Sharma, Vijay Sambyal, Sunil Kumar Sharma, Hemant Sharma, Dr C.M Seth, U Pachnanda, Ashwani Gupta, S.S Bijral and others.
Independence Day was celebrated with enthusiasm at RSS Headquarter Jammu wherein Prant Snaghchalak Dr. Goutam Mengi hoisted the National Flag at Keshav Bhawan, Ambphala. Prant Karyavah Dr. Vikrant and other officials and Swayamsevaks were also present on the occasion and recited the National Anthem.
At a function organized at Martyr Chowk Udhampur by Aware India Foundation along with All Jammu and Kashmir Patwar Association on Independence Day, rich tributes were paid to freedom fighters and martyr who sacrificed their lives for the nation. Lamps were lit and patriotic songs were sung by all the participants.
KP volunteers celebrated Independence Day at Invitation Banquet Hall in Roop Nagar Jammu. National Flag was hoisted by chief guest, Anil Bhat, senior journalist who was accompanied by guest of honour, Dr. Usha Kher, Dy.SP and Vishal Shoor SDPO Domana.
AIMCCC organization celebrated 77th Independence Day at Park 26, Jagti Township. Children and students performed cultural programmes. Salute to National Flag was given by Desh Ratten Pandita, president AIMCCC and P.L Bhat and National Flag was hoisted.
Kashmir Solidarity USA (KSUSA) hosted a flag raising event to mark India’s 77th Independence Day. Indian National Flag was hoisted. Denyse Baboolal, the founder of Jayadevi Arts-Indo-Caribbean community organization-was also in attendance at the event.
Association of Book Sellers, Udhampur celebrated 77th Independence Day. Arun Kumar Gupta, social activist and president Book Sellers Association unfurled the National Flag in the presence of a mammoth gathering.

On Independence Day, Rotarians of Rotary Club Udhampur assembled at KLSM Rotary Eye & ENT Hospital Udhampur to celebrate Independence Day. President of Rotary Club Udhampur unfurled the National Flag in the presence of members of Foundation, Rotary Clubs and Hospital Staff.
Aadarsh Bhartiya Samaj celebrated 77th Independence Day under the guidance of Col. (Retd.) R.K Sharma, chairman and S Daljeet Singh, president with enthusiasm and gaiety. Hony Naib Subedar Avtar Singh hoisted the National Flag on behalf of Samaj.
BLSKS celebrated the 77th Independence Day by organizing a colourful cultural programme and presented Musical Play ‘Meri Maati Mera Desh.’
