Marble Workers Union’s plea to LG

JAMMU, Mar 27: Marble Workers Union Trikuta Nagar has appealed to the Lieutenant Governor (LG) J&K GC Murmu to come to their rescue as they are facing problems due to non-availability of essential commodities during the ongoing lockdown.
In a statement, Mukesh Yadav, General Secretary of the Union said that due to country wide lockdown, all the workers engaged with the marble work in the Jammu and Kashmir are facing hardships due to non-availability of essential items.
“Our work has been affected a lot due to the ongoing lockdown. Our workers are at the verge of starvation as they have no money to feed their families”, he added.
He appealed to the LG J&K GC Murmu to arrange food, water and medicines for these around 2000 workers at the earliest.
