Marheen police rescues 4 bovines

KATHUA, Nov 23: In continuation to its drive against bovine smuggling, Kathua police has successfully foiled an attempt to smuggle bovine by rescuing four bovines in the jurisdiction of Police Station, Rajbagh near Battal Chack and seized one vehicle.
Police said a team led by Inspector, Vikas Sharma incharge Police Post (PP) Marheen under the supervision of SDPO Border, Sachit Mahajan while performing vehicle checking duty at Battal Chak noticed a vehicle Mahindra bearing Registration Number JK08C-9446 which was being driven by the unknown person.
As the vehicle was stopped for checking, four bovines were found loaded in it illegally. Meanwhile, vehicle was seized and all four bovines were rescued on the spot. A case FIR No. 238/2021 U/S 188/IPC,11/PCA Act has been registered at Rajbagh Police Station and further investigation has been set into motion accordingly.
