Beijing, Jul 18: The Maritime Silk Road Trade Index, between China and countries along the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road, posted month-on-month growth in June.
The overall import and export index climbed 8.56 percent to 133.14 last month, according to the Ningbo Shipping Exchange in east China’s Zhejiang Province.
The June sub-index for exports rose 3.27 percent to 148.07, while that for imports reached 117.95, up 16.17 percent month on month.
The monthly index was officially launched in May 2017 to track the trade development between China and the major countries participating in the Maritime Silk Road cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative.
