MENDHAR, Apr 12: The main market of the Mendhar town has turned into garbage dump as there is no agency to lift the same and dispose it off.
The people are facing lot of problems and heaps of garbage are lying all around the market. Earlier, Panchayat used to engage people for disposal of garbage but now nobody in the administration bothers about the issue. In view of foul smell it has become difficult for the shopkeepers to sit in their shops and public to move freely. There is no NAC or MC in the town and local administration seems to have turned Nelson’s eye towards this public plight. Garbage has accumulated at various points for the weeks and months together and there is every possibility of spreading any epidemic.
