CHENNAI, Aug 10: Prices of thoor dal, urad dal, sugar, maida and sooji went up while that of sugar declined in the wholesale foodgrains market during the week ended today.
Thoor dal and urad dal opend the week at Rs 6,900 and Rs 5,500 per quintal respectively and went up by Rs 100 from its previous rate of Rs 6,800 and Rs 5,400.
Sugar edged up by Rs 20 to Rs 3,200 from Rs 3,180 from its previous week rate, while wheat declined by Rs.50 to Rs 2,200 from Rs 2,250 of its previous week rate.
Maida and Sooji (90 kgs each) went up by Rs.50 and Rs 100 to Rs 2,400 and Rs 2,500 from its previous week rate of Rs 2,350 and Rs 2,400, respectively.
Moong Dal and gram dal remained unchanged from their previous week’s rates of Rs 7,400 and Rs 3,750. (PTI)
