JAMMU, Apr 9: A married woman was allegedly raped by a man in Bishnah.
Police spokesman said that the accused Rakesh Kumar alias Angrez Singh, son of Baldev Singh of Chak Bana Brahmana allegedly raped a married woman in the fields and later fled from the spot.
The woman narrated the incident to her husband, who along with the victim lodged a complaint with Bishnah police station, he added.
On her complaint, police registered a case and arrested the accused, he said.
The woman was sent for medical examination, whose reports are awaiting, he added.
Police party led by SHO Deepak Pathania made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Diwakar Singh.
